Who Are You Really?
You might think that your thoughts, feelings, and physical senses make up who you are. But the next time you feel something strongly or get consumed by a thought, ask yourself: What part of me is experiencing this? Who is it that’s noticing this feeling or this thought? Notice that you’ve noticed.
If you can look at something and point at it, then it’s not you. It’s an object and you are the subject because you can acknowledge its existence—it exists outside of you.
You are not labels or emotions or external happenings. Instead, you are the witness to all of these. You are awareness. And awareness gives you choices. A choice to grow, to act and respond in accordance to your values and purpose. A choice to become who you really want to be, to become the best version of yourself.
